Summary: oximately 1000 runners are expected. The Neujahrsmarathon is a popular race for runners to welcome in the new year. There are also half marathon, quarter marathon and relay marathon races.

The race is made up of four 10.55Km laps. Starting and finishing at the sports hall, the course follows mainly rural terrain east along the south side of the river, before turning and running westward along the north side.
