The world's fastest marathon shoes have just got faster

The world's previous fastest marathon shoe the Nike Vaporfly 4% Flyknit are in stock at sportsshoes. They are also offering free 24 hour uk delivery and free returns. In the past these have been really difficult to find so it's great to see them becoming available, albeit they are pretty expensive - however it gives you a 4% improvement in running economy apparently measured against Nike's other fast marathon racer, the Zoom Streak 6.

The New Fast

However there is now an even newer faster version on the block, the ZoomX VaporFly Next Percent. Mo Farah will be using these for the 2019 Virgin London marathon. This new shoe has even more ZoomX foam for even greater responsiveness and an all new Vaporweave upper which is both very strong strong but also incredibly lightweight. These were used for the recent Chicago marathon world record for women eclipsing Paula Ratcliffe's long standing record. Indeed there is a great deal of controversy over exactly how fair these are to other athletes who are not wearing them.
