Race Description

The Antrim Coast Half Marathon (as mentioned in Runner's World magazine March 2022) has a flat and fast course. The race routes starts at the Chaine Memorial tower built in 1888. The course starts through Larne town before going onto the iconic Antrim Coast Road.

The race is said to be one of the fastest routes in the UK and Ireland. The turn for home comes at Ballygally, a coastal village 3 miles north of Larne. The race is essentially flat with a downhill at 1300 metres to go and so has a fast finish at the Chaine Memorial Road.
