Brighton Half Marathon Race Entry
Race Description:
First run in 1991, the Brighton Half Marathon (as featured in Runner's World magazine March 2022) was originally organised by local running clubs. However, it is now organised by the local charity Sussex Beacon, it has grown from the original 200 runners to the current 15,000 participants.
The Brighton Half Marathon route follows an undulating coastal route starting and finishing on Madeira Drive. It runs along the seafront between Brighton Pier and Brighton Marina. Runners briefly head north past the famous Brighton Pavillion before turning back to the coast. The route then turns east until runners are sent westward towards Hove. At the Hove Lagoon runners make their last turn and head east to the finish line on Madeira Drive.
