Race Description

Often known as the D-Day Landings Marathon, the Caen marathon or Marathon de la Liberté Running Festival hosts a marathon, half marathon(Le Pegasus) and 10km races all of which are super popular.
All together they are know as the Les Courants de la Liberté festival of races.


The marathon is a point-to-point race, starting at Courseulles sur Mer and finishing at the Memorial of Caen and is set on one of the most beautiful marathon courses in France.

A fairly flatish course, but with 15km of the course being coastal there are a few undulating areas to be sure about.

The race has really positive reviews, in particular from those who are delighted at seeing the beautifully historical locations around the course.
