Chester Metric Marathon Race Entry

Race Description:
The Chester metric marathon is a distance of 26.2km which is 16.3 miles. It sets off on the same day as the main marathon but slightly later. After the halfway point it joins the marathon course and so this half of the race route is busier than the first half.
The metric marathon route is on closed roads and takes in many of Chester's iconic landmarks including: Roman Walls, the Cathedral, Medieval Rows, the Eastgate Clock and Amphitheatre. It then heads out into the gorgeous Cheshire countryside passing through villages and communities offering well deserved support. After joining the marathon runners back to Chester, the route runs alongside the River Dee and finishes at Grosvenor Park.
