Race Description

There’s an update to the event for 2025. Previously offering a half marathon, marathon, and the Hilly Billy Challenge ultra, the 20-mile trail challenge is known for its scenic and varied route. The course follows rural footpaths and bridleways, with some stretches on quiet country lanes, and has traditionally been self-navigated using maps provided on the main run website.

For 2025, due to a steady decline in entries for the 20-mile and marathon distances but continued strong interest in the half marathon, the organisers have made a change to the Challenge Even and it is solely the Half Marathon, which will now be fully marshalled.
