The Düsseldorf Marathon is a popular running event that takes place every year in the city of Düsseldorf, Germany. It attracts thousands of runners from all over the world who want to challenge themselves on a fast and scenic course that passes by many landmarks and follows the river Rhine. The marathon was first held in 2003 and has since become one of the biggest sporting events in Düsseldorf. The current title sponsor is Uniper, an energy company that also supports the Kids Cup, a race for children. The marathon was scheduled for April 24, 2022, but was postponed due to the uncertain COVID-19 situation. A new date will be announced soon.
