Race Description

The last know race at this location was April 2022!

 

This is a flat and fast course on tarmac with no sharp corners. Good tree cover provides shelter from the wind. The course is traffic free and is run around the disused RAF Debden Airfield. The course is designed in the shape of an aircraft to honour the RAF. The marathon consists of 6 laps of the airfield, each of which is 7.03km.

The race will be held under a full UK Athletics race license.

To provide a Covid-19 safe experience the race is held in waves of runners. They will start from 9am in a time trial format with the fastest athletes going first. The start line will have a Formula 1 starting grid feel with athletes being kept socially distanced on the start line and starting in small waves.

A medal is provided to all finishers and the option to purchase a race day t-shirt too.
