The Eugene Marathon route is mostly flat, with a hill at miles 4 and 8. The race starts outside Hayward Field and runs through south Eugene, around Amazon Park, passing the University of Oregon on it's way to Knickerbocker footbridge. After that the course follows the Springfield loop, taking participants by Island Park, Springfield High School and the University of Oregon's Autzen Stadium. The last nine miles follow river trails and visits parks with finishers crossing the line at the Hayward Field running track.
