Race Description:

The Fleam Dyke Trail Half Marathon is a scenic, single-loop trail half marathon. The race route takes in most of the historical Anglo-Saxon Fleam Dyke and the Roman Road long distance path on the south-east side of Cambridge. There is also a half marathon race.

The races starts at Balsham Village Hall near Cambridge, both loops head out north-west along Fleam Dyke until reaching Fulbourn Fen where the route heads south before picking up the Roman Road heading south-east away from Cambridge. Just south of Balsham the half marathon loop branches off to return to the hall while the marathon route continues with a few short road sections to villages Withersfield, Weston Green and Weston Colville before returning back to Balsham. The half marathon loop is nearly entirely trail, and the marathon route around 85% trail.

Included are refreshments at checkpoints, finishers medal, donation on your behalf to our partner, Friends of the Roman Road and Fleam Dyke which helps towards conservation and route maintenance.
