Race Description:

The Freckleton Half Marathon is the oldest half marathon in the UK and is run over a rural undulating course in the afternoon. It started in 1965 and the race was a success, not least because the great Ron Hill accepted an invitation to run and won the race in a time of 65.44. Four years later, he set an event record of 64.45 which stands to this day. There are parking, changing, showers, and refreshments available at the event.
