Race Description:

This ROAD CLOSED half marathon starts on the Felling By-Pass and heads towards Heworth roundabout before turning and running towards Gateshead roundabout and then back towards Gateshead International Stadium. The course will then head down to the quayside area and will pass the iconic Gateshead Millennium Bridge, Sage Gateshead, BALTIC Centre For Contemporary Arts, run under the iconic Tyne Bridge and past the historic Swing Bridge before turning back to pass these landmarks again. The course then re-joins the Felling By-Pass and heads once again to Heworth roundabout and Gateshead Roundabout before entering the world famous Gateshead International Stadium and finishing by running around the track and crossing the finish line cheered home by family and friends.
