Race Description

The Great Eastern Run is a flat half marathon around and through the centre of Peterborough and is currently sponsored by AEPG. The race used to be sponsored by Perkins. The main race will start and finish near the Embankment and takes in a route around Peterborough City Centre. The route also takes runners through a section of the city centre, one of the unique aspects of the course.

The Great Eastern Run had been postponed for 2021. In fact the race did not take place in 2019, 2020 or 2021 and returned in 2022. In the past this has been a very well organised event. There are 5 water stations out on the course and the race is now run on fully closed roads.
