Race Description
The Macon Music Half Marathon is scheduled for November 22, 2025. This event features a course that showcases the rich musical heritage of Macon, Georgia. Runners will navigate through a predominantly flat and paved route, with a total distance of 13.1 miles (21.1 km). The terrain is mostly urban, but with a few sections that may include gentle inclines.
Course Map
The route begins at the Grand Opera House located at 651 Mulberry St, Macon, GA 31201. Runners will head south on Mulberry Street, passing historic landmarks such as the Big House (home of The Allman Brothers Band) and Little Richard’s home. Specific turning points include:
- Turn left on 2nd Street at mile 1.5
- Turn right at the intersection with New Street at mile 4
- Pass Capricorn Studios around mile 5
- Continue to the Otis Redding Foundation located near mile 8
- Venture towards the Mercer’s McDuffie Center for Strings before reaching the finish line.
