Race Description:
The New Forest ½ Marathon - Hinton Admiral Estate is an amazing early season trail running event set in the exclusive Hinton Admiral Estate in the New Forest National Park which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Unique access has been given to this unspoilt private estate. This special treat will allow runners to run through parts of the estate that have never been open to the public before. These untouched parts of the New Forest are as nature intended them to be, with the magnificent scenery your senses will not be able to take in the sheer beauty surrounding you as you run.
The New Forest has been voted the best National Park in Europe and 10th in the world. It ranked higher than the Grand Canyon!
The route has it all, spectacular tree lined paths, trails surrounded by beautiful vibrant coloured bracken and hard packed gravel pathways. The route weaves through impressive ancient forests and untouched secret heathlands where you may encounter deer roaming free and grazing on the side of the trails.
The flat profile of the route makes it a perfect early season event. The route can be described as relatively flat with only 106m of elevation gain over the full 1/2 marathon route. Perfect for your early season legs!
What better place to experience trail running! Regardless of experience or ability, we actively encourage new runners to our events and have 3 route lengths to choose from: 1/2 Marathon (21km), Standard (14km) and Short (10km).
At the finish you will receive a well-deserved quality event specific medal, running cups and neck buff.
