Race Description:

The DB Wood Newark Half Marathon is a fast and flat(ish), scenic race.  It runs mainly on country lanes.

Newark is an historical town with a castle and civil war museum.  The race has a starting point of Sconce Park, which is the site of civil war battles. 

The rrace route passes the Ice Age Journey dig and onto the outskirts of East Stone, here is the site of another civil battle, then through Elston which is birthplace of the Darwin family and returning back to Sconce Park. 

A T-shirt and medal are provided to finishers.
