Race Description:
The race starts and finishes at the Beacons beach next to the Mulberry Marina in Morfa Conwy (approx 1.5 miles outside Conwy) from here it goes along the beach (hard sand) towards Penmaenmawr for 1.2 miles where it then joins the cycle path and continues to Penmaenmawr and along its promenade (Water Station) as far as the sailing club, from here it goes up along the viaduct and joins the main road through Penmaenmawr village centre, it then turns up Old Conway Road next to the Mountain View pub and heads upwards towards the Sychnant Pass.
At the top of the pass it turns left onto Conwy mountain for approx 1.5 miles, the views from this section are absolutely awesome!!! after the descent from the mountain it joins Cadnant Park and goes over the small railway bridge onto Bangor road which it crosses into Bodlondeb and then down to Marine walk which it follows around to Aberconwy school, from here it goes along Ellis Way towards Conwy Golf club and then along Meirion Drive to Morfa caravan park where it joins the beach and heads back to the finish line.
Dates and times for this race change each year due to tide times.
