Race Description:

The Pennine Trail Marathon has a full race distance of 43.6km with an elevation of 3,814ft

The route starts in the woods of Hurstwood in Worsthorne, the marathon then takes you along the idyllic trails of Gorple to Top Withins passing Bronte Waterfall, with a stop through the National Trust park of Hardcastle Crags.

There will be 4 generous cut off points:
 
1st checkpoint = 5.2 miles / 8.3km - 1 hour 45 minutes (water available)
2nd checkpoint = 11 miles / 17.7km - 3 hours 20 minutes (water and food available)
3rd checkpoint = 14.4 miles / 23.7km - 4 hours 30 minutes (water available)
4th checkpoint = 19.8 miles / 31.8km - 6 hours (water and food available)
 
NB: Full kit will be required in adverse conditions. You will be required to carry water and food.
