Race Description:
The Rochdale Half Marathon starts and finishes at the Rochdale Town Hall. The race is fully marshalled, traffic free, signed and has water stations at regular intervals. All runs are chip timed. There is a medal and technical t-shirt for runners completing the half marathon.
The Williams BMW Rochdale Half Marathon, 10K and Fun Run won't be taking place in 2022 due to major work at Rochdale Town Hall and on the Esplanade, where races start and finish
The half marathon course leaves the town hall along the esplanade and runs along the edge of Broadfield Park, before heading through Deeplish to the Rochdale Canal at Oldham Road Basin. The route then heads past Kingsway Business Park and Smithy Bridge along the canal. Near to the Waterside Restaurant the route leaves the tow path and heads up Hollingworth Road towards Hollingworth Lake, making a clockwise loop of the lake. It then returns down Hollingworth Road and back on to the canal. The race retraces its outward route from the town hall until it reaches Broadfield Park, where runners will go through the park before again joining the esplanade to the finish line.
