Race Description
The Rome Marathon is a journey through the eternal city that will make you fall in love with running and the marathon forever.
The rhythm of your heartbeat will be as one with the other participants, with which you will share the wonders of the route: starting from Fori Imperiali, passing in front of the Vittoriano, in Piazza Venezia, you will gaze at Circo Massimo, feel the breeze of Lungotevere as you travel across Castel Sant’Angelo, viale della Conciliazione and St. Peter’s Basilica.
It is a flat route, with around 26 metres of altitude difference (minimum altitude 10 m above sea level – maximum altitude 36 m above sea level) and around 6 km of cobblestones. There are 3 starting waves spaced a few minutes apart.
