Race Description:
Race Discontinued.
The Sheffield 20 mile race is run on the pavement and good quality, well compacted trails of Rother Valley Country park. The course is flat begins with 2.5 laps of the main lakes in the Park and after this it follows the Trans Pennine Trail to Stavely, returning along the same route. There is then the finishing section which is another half lap of Rother Valley.
The race has been put on by Hillsborough and Rivelin running club so that runners, preparing for autumn marathons, have an opportunity to run an affordable 20 mile race. It is 4 weeks before London and Chester, and 6 weeks prior to Amsterdam and the Yorkshire marathons.
