Race Description:
Race discontinued...
The Silverstone Half Marathon was last run in October 2021!
The Run Silverstone Half Marathon is a unique opportunity to run on this famous track and the route has low elevations so a PB time is a real possibility on this 500 acre site. Each finisher receives a medal along with water and a tasty snack. A number of COVID-secure measures are in place for safety including start waves and a one-way system. There are no spectators permitted at the event.
Start Waves Procedure due to Coronavirus
There is no mass start and each runner is allocated a start wave time between 08:00 and 12:40. This time will be sent in your pre-event email by 10 November. Is it suggested to arrive between 30 to 60 minutes before your start wave. These waves are allocated by pace (not distance) to reduce the need to overtake on the route and people of a similar pace will be placed in the same wave. Each wave will consist of all distances (5K, 10K and Half Marathon). Wheelchair entrants will be at the head of the first wave at 08:00 with a 5-minute interval following before the first runners cross the start line. To run with a friend or family members it is best to submit the same estimated finish times.
Run Silverstone Half Marathon Course Route
You will not complete multiple laps for the Half Marathon as the course uses the perimeter road as well as the circuit, so there are only short sections of the course that you use more than once. The course follow the wide Silverstone circuit, pit lanes and perimeter road with plenty of space available. This means there will be more than enough capacity for you to move at a safe distance from other participants, with room to overtake.
