Race Description:
The Southport Half Marathon returns for an 8th edition. The course is a traffic free route which includes Lord Street in Southport town centre and a start/finish area with live music and entertainment.
The half marathon is the only running event in Southport allowed to close Lord Street to traffic so that runners can go through the centre of the seaside resort. There is a medal and a technical Tee-Shirt for all finishers and it is a fully UKA licensed half marathon course.
The route was altered for the 2021 event and it gives more space with no narrow pinch points.
