Race Description
This race was last run in 2022.
The Sussex Downs Half Marathon is set in The South Downs National Park in Mid-Sussex. The race sets off from Plumpton Racecourse which is at the foot of the South Downs.
The half marathon starts with a flattish 3.5km tree lined section to warm up the legs before a tough climb up to the South Downs Way. The climb gives out views over the Sussex countryside, the Seven Sisters Country Park and sea views.
From here the race runs on trails towards Brighton before heading back up to the South Downs Way, from there you go down the Sussex Downs hilltop before a flat final 3km to the finish.
Finishers receive a medal, a protein bar, a pair of running socks and a neck buff.
