Race Description:
From 2022 this is now a multi terrain 13.5 mile event. The course starts on Beaconsfield Prom on Bridlington’s north bay seafront then heads off towards Sewerby, Danes Dyke and Flamborough headland before returning to the Bridlington sea-front finish.
Before this the Bridlington Half Marathon, otherwise known as the Brid Half is run by Bridlington Road Runners who have a good reputation for putting on a good race. The course takes you along the sea front at Brid and then heads off into the countryside, via Sewerby, past Flamborough and Bempton before heading back down the very long downward stretch back to the sea-front to the finish. Whilst this is a very hilly course, it's a great race for a personal best. Many people who take part have reported a personal best and you can see the finish line from quite a way off which can be a bonus in timing your effort. There are three water stations on the course and one at the finish.
Can you wear headphones?
Under UKA Rules headphones are not allowed and non-compliance will lead to disqualification.
