Race Description

The Leeds Half Marathon is one of the oldest major road races in the UK. It is a popular event attracting thousands of people onto the city’s streets both runners and supporters alike. 

2023 saw the race take place alongside the inaugural Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon and followed a new route out to Bramhope and back after starting in Headingley Stadium.

In previous years the race started in the city centre and was a challenging route through the city and the surrounding areas. The routes passed near the historic Kirkstall Abbey, which was a welcome sight being almost on the home straight which was nice and flat. This section followed the same route as the Leeds Abbey Dash. The race finished along The Headrow and in front of the majestic Town Hall before turning into Cookridge Street to finish in Millennium Square.

A goody bag awaits each finisher including a drink of Erdinger Alkoholfrei.
