Race Description:

The race takes place on the banks of the river Charente in the welcoming village of Jarnac.

Runners from all over the world, Asia, the USA and Europe can be found as part of the group and are made welcome by the lovely locals.

As well as the Semi-Marathon there is a 11.5km course and marathon too - many runners choosing to run in fancy dress - so it's lots of fun with a real festive admosphere.

The run winds around and up and down the fabulous Charente countryside with lots of great support and a few bands along the route too.

Towards the end of the race the runners run through one of the local Cognac warehouses - where the opportunity for a quick tipple is available. (Also available post race if your prefer!) There is a small but great race expo, with tasting stands with local produce and the locally brewed Cognac and Pineau de Charente.

More and more runners are finding this little gem year on year - will you be one of them?
